Council — Invitational Video Script

Audience: the owner who has been told to adopt something new before, more than once, and is tired in a specific way — not anti-technology, just out of bandwidth for another learning curve that may not pay off. (Thryv's December 2025 survey found two-thirds of small business owners don't expect AI to touch their business in 2026 at all — that's not hostility, it's fatigue talking.)

The one job this video has to do: prove, in under a minute, that this doesn't ask anything of them before it gives them something back.

Two cuts below — a full cut for email/landing page, and a native-feed cut for Angelina's LinkedIn push. Build the full cut first; the short cut is a re-edit of it, not a separate shoot.

Full cut (75–90 seconds)

[0:00–0:08] — Open on the fatigue, not the pitch

Visual: static shot, no motion graphics, no music sting. Just someone talking straight to camera — Daniel or Angelina, whoever reads more like "one of us" to this audience.

VO: "You've been told to change before. New software, new dashboard, one more thing to learn just to keep up. This isn't that."

On-screen text (for muted viewing): "You've done this before. This isn't that."

[0:08–0:22] — Reverse the burden

VO: "You don't learn anything new here. You don't organize anything first. You take what you already have — a book you wrote, a folder of notes that never turned into anything — and you put it in as-is. Mangled is fine. Mangled is normal."

Visual: a real folder on a real desktop — genuinely unglamorous, not a stock photo of a tidy binder. This is the whole point: the mess is allowed.

[0:22–0:50] — The proof, not the promise

VO: "Then you ask it something. Not me — it."

Visual: cut to screen recording. Someone types a real, specific question into Council Asker — not a softball. Show the answer landing. If there's a gap, let it show the honest "I don't have that yet" rather than cutting away from it — that moment is more convincing than a perfect answer.

VO (over the local/cloud toggle on screen): "And this part — this stays on your machine if you want it to. No cloud key, nothing leaving your computer. Your call, not ours."

Visual: the actual toggle from the screenshot — Cloud · xAI vs. Local · Ollama — shown clicking to Local. This single UI moment is doing more trust-building than any line of copy could.

[0:50–1:10] — Name what it replaces

VO: "This is the thing you'd want a new hire to already know on day one — except you never have to train it, and it never quits."

Visual: back to camera, plain, no hard sell tone.

[1:10–1:25] — Invitation, not ask

VO: "No cost to try it. No setup on your end. Ask it something real and see what it does with it."

On-screen text: "Ask it something. See what happens." CTA: link/QR to Council Asker instance, or reply prompt if run natively on LinkedIn.

Short cut (25–30 seconds, LinkedIn native)

Built for sound-off scrolling — carry the message in on-screen text, VO is a bonus not a requirement.

[0:00–0:03] — Text on screen over the folder shot: "Still explaining the same thing to every new customer?"

[0:03–0:10] — Cut straight to the screen recording: real question typed into Council Asker, real answer landing. Caption burned in: "This isn't ChatGPT guessing. This only knows what you told it."

[0:10–0:18] — The toggle click to Local. Caption: "Runs on your machine. Nothing has to leave it."

[0:18–0:25] — Back to camera or plain text card: "No setup. No cost to try. Ask it something." + link.

Production notes

Clerk

Received.

The script lands as a deliberate reversal: meet the fatigue first, prove the "no new ask" in the first 8 seconds, then let the real folder and the local toggle do the persuading. The honest gap ("I don't have that yet") is kept as evidence, not edited out. The short cut carries the same spine in captions for sound-off scroll.

That's the deposit as written.

_PRISM refractions and Sherlock notes may be appended to this item in later turns._
